jnagler entry for July

Hi All,

This is a picture I took at the beginning of the month at Carl’s son’s birthday party.  I used the toy camera effect in Lightroom to make it a bit more interesting and have the colors pop more.  I could have fixed the hammer in the front to make it more symmetrical, but I do not like to alter scenes when I am shooting.

I will post the details of the shot in the comments.

  1. You know I’m a sucker for the Toy Camera effect. Good lines, it draws your eyes across the picture. I was busy looking at the composition when suddenly I said to myself “what the F? hard hats and blow-up hammers… what kinda stuff are you into!” then I read your description.

  3. I love the vibrant colors! The toy camera effect is cool, but I don’t like what it did on this photo, giving the corners a whitish vignette.
